I can’t get over how Dean looks here. He agrees with every word Hester says. He knows exactly what she means. And like Hester, Dean blames himself for Castiel’s falling. You can almost hear him shouting back with no word “You think I’m okay about that? You think I’m happy that he is the way he is now?” 

This is when the audience should know how much Dean loves Castiel. Dean loves Castiel much enough to not want to see how Castiel has become. When you go back to the sorry scene. When Dean said “No, you’re play sorry” The expression right there matches the one in this scene. It’s Dean telling himself “What have you done to an angel?” “How could you corrupt him?” 

Dean knows Hester is right. He corrupts everything he touches.
